THEY train, travel and work together and now the Irish rugby team are buying paintings from the same artist – the wife of team mate Gordon D'Arcy.
Aoife Cogan told the Irish Independent she has been commissioned by several of the international rugby players, who as a result, have portraits of themselves hanging in their homes.
"I've lots of commissions in at the moment; I've done pieces for a lot of Gordon's team mates.
"It's all been through word of mouth; people seeing the paintings in friends' houses," she said.
The 29 year old who works with chopsticks instead of paint brushes and said while she'd love to hold an exhibition, she's been so fortunate with sales that she has nothing to show.
"I've been talking about that for so long and it's in the pipeline, but to be honest, all my pieces I'm either selling or have been commissioned.
"There have been times when someone asks to see my work and I've nothing to show them. I shouldn't complain though, it's been great."
Ms Cogan launched Yo! Sushi's new menu addition, Yo! Burger, in Dublin yesterday.
She has just returned from a second honeymoon in Bali, where she and 33-year-old D'Arcy celebrated their first anniversary.
