POLITICS is a simple game. It's just the politicians that make it confusing.
As a result of naming his first-born Brian, Conor Lenihan became the son, brother and father of Brian Lenihan.
Worry ye not, things get simpler from here on in.
Conor, bright young back-bencher and editor of the official Fianna Fail magazine The Nation, and his wife Denise are expecting their third baby in July. There is no word of a name for the child yet.
If the happy expectant couple needs someone to babysit and bath the baby when they're out, Conor should look no further than his aunt Mary O'Rourke. As Michael O'Leary will recall, Mary knows a thing or two about baths.
"I am looking forward to being a dad again," said Conor, father of Jack, 2, and Brian, 4. "It's great fun."
Conor, son of the late Brian Lenihan, added that they are hoping for a girl this time. But as he pointed out, "The Y chromosomes seemed to be winning!" BE
