Comic Russell Kane wants to do Strictly Come Dancing so much that he is considering calling show bosses to beg for a place.
The 32-year-old, who impressed with his routine to Beyonce's Single Ladies on Let's Dance For Comic Relief, said he definitely wants to sign up to the BBC dance contest.
Russell also revealed his distinctive quiff has led to people mistaking him for Radio 1 breakfast show host Nick Grimshaw.
The funnyman said: "I love dancing. If I could have chosen one other showbiz profession, and I never thought I'd go into showbiz, if I could go back now to five years ago and become some famous dancer I'd love it. I just love music, I'm a very physical comedian, I'm double jointed, I'm hyper-mobile, I love expressing myself that way."
He said of Strictly: "I don't know if I would do it this year just because I've got so much going on - not that they've called me. But I think I can see myself calling them and begging them in a few years."
Asked about his ideal Strictly partner, he said: "Probably a man, to be controversial."
Russell has been performing surprise stand-up routines in unusual locations to promote Barclaycard Unwind's special offers on entertainment. So far he has appeared at a launderette, yoga class and lecture hall to make unsuspecting members of the public laugh.
Catching them by surprise led to mistaken identity, he said.
"They all think I'm Nick Grimshaw," Russell admitted.
