The 29-year-old and her husband, Irish soccer star Robbie (32), are enjoying an extended holiday in their hometown of Dublin.

With plenty of time to catch up with friends while they're back in town, mother-of-one Claudine told the Herald that she'll be donning her apron to rustle up a festive feast for the family in Malahide this year.

"We don't go back to LA until mid-January so we'll be having a big, Irish Christmas at home, which we're really excited about -- Robert Jr in particular," she told the Herald.

"I do the cooking every year and have done since I met Rob when I was 18. My first Christmas in London was when I was 20 and it's become my thing since then -- I actually really enjoy it though.

"My brother Ronan and I will be in the kitchen together this Christmas; he's in charge of the potatoes and I'll be focusing on the meats and trimmings."

Robbie and Claudine moved to Hollywood in August 2011, after the top striker signed with LA Galaxy.

While she does suffer from homesickness from time to time, Claudine knows where to get her 'Irish fix'.

"Being back for a few weeks in Ireland and getting to really spend proper, quality time here does definitely get it out of my system," she said.

"But there's a little shop in Santa Monica that I go to now and it sells just Irish produce, so I stock up on that as often as I can. They even do Kimberley biscuits, proper Barry's tea and baked beans.

"It's fantastic because you do actually miss all that when you're away, so it helps big time being able to get your hands on it," she added.

Claudine has spent the past couple of weeks looking after her other half, following surgery on Robbie's Achilles.
