Brooke Shields claims her ex-husband Andre Agassi threatened her during their divorce proceedings.
The model-turned-actress was married to the American tennis star from 1997 to 1999 and resurrected painful details about their split during an interview with the Today show on Thursday.
"I am divorced," she shared during a segment with family court attorney Laura Wasser.
"And mine was fairly quick and relatively easy but it's a very interesting thing because he did say to me, ‘Be happy that we don't have children or I would not have made this easy for you.' And therein lies why I'm not there anymore."
Brooke is now happily married to television writer Chris Henchy, with whom she shares two children.
The couple married in 2001 and the 48-year-old star couldn’t be happier with the balanced life they’ve built together.
"He is rock solid and so incredibly aware," Brooke said. “He just revels in me, but doesn't hold me on such a pedestal that I'm too far away from him."
The couple’s home also includes a third baby, the family dog. Brooke recently revealed their relationship is a bit more difficult to manage because she has to be medicated to be around the pooch.
“I get shots because I'm allergic to my dog,” she recently told Us Weekly.
In addition to being a wife and mother, Brooke is keeping a busy career schedule.
She is the star of US television drama Army Wives and in August released her latest movie, a comedy about middle-aged basketball players called The Hot Flashes.
