Bieber's housemate arrested twice following raid as Chris Brown backs singer during 'witch-hunt'
Justin Bieber’s housemate Lil Za was arrested twice yesterday following a raid on the singer’s home.
Bieber’s friend, who lives with him in his Calabasas, California mansion, was released from jail last night following an alleged drug possession but managed to get arrested again before he was let go.
Lil Za was just minutes away from being released before he lost his temper and vandalised a phone inside the cell he had spent the day in, TMZ reports.
His bail was readjusted from $20,000 to $70,000.
The forced search took place on Bieber’s house following allegations the Canadian singer threw eggs at his neighbour’s home on January 9.
According to reports, 11 police cars arrived at the pop star's mansion and the officers were armed with a battering ram.
“I can confirm we have served a search warrant at Justin Bieber’s residence as part of a felony vandalism investigation,” Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore told the New York Daily News.
“He is there, and we are right now in the process of serving the warrant. We’re looking for anything we might need to move this investigation forward.”
A felony warrant indicates that if evidence is uncovered, Justin could potentially serve time in prison if charged with a crime.
The egg attack has reportedly cost Justin’s neighbour $20,000 as the entire front of the house needs replastering and various doors require restaining.
Meanwhile, Chris Brown is reportedly backing Justin Bieber in the wake of his fresh legal troubles.
Chris apparently feels Justin is being unfairly targeted and wants him to know he is not alone during this “witch hunt”.
“Chris feels for Justin and wants him to be all right because he knows first-hand how situations like these end up and usually they’re not good,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Justin is like his little brother and he wants him to be all right and stay strong through all this trouble.”
Chris has made it clear he thinks he and Justin are both being treated badly by the public.
According to the musician, the reason they are focused on so intensely is because of their talent.
"It's sorta like what Justin Bieber's going through right now,” Chris previously told Power 105.1.
"With him, it's just a case of how I feel. Being young, having a limitless amount of income, whatever you wanna do as a young guy, and then at the same time, you don't have nobody that's gonna say, ‘Hey, bro, you look wack right now.'
“For me, I had the people that said it and it got through eventually, but I think right now, his team is wonderful."
