Bieber facing new police inquiry
Los Angeles police detectives are investigating allegations that embattled singer Justin Bieber tried to steal a mobile phone at a family entertainment centre.
A police spokeswoman said today that a person accused Bieber of trying to take the phone on Monday night at the facility that features miniature golf, arcades and batting cages in the Sherman Oaks neighbourhood.
Police did not give any other details. Detectives from the agency's elite Robbery Homicide Division are investigating the allegations.
Phone and email messages left with Bieber's attorney, Howard Weitzman, and publicist, Melissa Victor, were not immediately returned.
Prosecutors are still considering whether to file charges against Bieber over an egg-throwing incident in January that damaged a neighbour's home in Calabasas.
