Beyonce has revealed that her mum is her inspiration in a new video promoting Chime For Change.
The video, which can be seen on YouTube, promotes the Chime For Change campaign for global female empowerment, which the superstar singer is supporting.
Talking about mum Tina Knowles she said: "My mother's gift is finding the best qualities in every human being.
"I think her gift is understanding and helping people get to their best selves."
Beyonce, 31, also explained more about the campaign's aims: "Our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible."
To support Chime For Change, Single Ladies singer Beyonce will be performing at The Sound Of Change Live at Twickenham stadium on June 4.
She'll be sharing a stage with stars including Florence And The Machine, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding, John Legend and Timbaland.
The Run The World singer is a co-founder of the charity with Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini and actress Salma Hayek.
Beyonce is also a mum herself, to daughter Blue Ivy with her husband Jay-Z.
This month she is starting her latest world tour, The Mrs Carter Show, which ends in September.
