THE couple have worked through their differences and are now back living under the same roof.

Reports from the US say the couple who announced their separation in August, are attempting a reconciliation after Michael Douglas urged his wife to give the relationship another go.

The couple have two children Dylan and Carys have their main base are n New York, and according to reports Michael urged Catherine to work on their relationship  for the sake of their children.

The couple who celebrated their birthdays  on the same day last week, 25 September, celebrated separately.  

Catherine was in China when Michael scooped an Emmy for his portrayal of Liberace the previous week, but the 69 year old actor said he had received a “lovely note” from his estranged wife.

The couple have battled health problems in recent years and that is said to have put a strain on their 13-year marriage.

Michael Douglas has successfully undergone treatment for throat cancer, while 44-yer-old Catherine has been admitted to hospital on a number of occasions for treatment for her bipolar condition. 

The actress wore her wedding ring on Sunday night when she attended the Dance Alliance Foundation Gala in New York and Michael has continued to wear his ring throughout their trial separation.
