Alec Baldwin has joked he hopes his new daughter looks like her mother or it would be "a waste of time to marry a woman like that!"
The Blue Jasmine star and 29-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria, welcomed their first child together, Carmen Gabriela, on August 23 and invited Extra TV into their home to show her off.
Alec, 55, said: "I hope she looks like her mother. What a waste of time it would be to marry a woman like that and have the kid look like me. That would be dreadful"
Hilaria, an Extra lifestyle correspondent, added: "She looks like herself... we'll have to see, every single day, she changes so much."
Alec held baby Carmen, wearing a frilly dress with pink bows, and gazed at her adoringly, cooing to her while Hilaria was interviewed.
He said: "I have that feeling, I have the feeling that life is wonderful. I have the feeling that I'm so lucky, I'm so blessed. All the feelings that everybody feels when you have a baby and you want to have that family."
The 30 Rock star also joked that Carmen was so hungry she would "chew through" her mother's dress to be fed.
Hilaria said: "It's a dream come true. I have trouble sleeping because I just want to look at her."
Alec already is the father of a 17-year-old daughter, Ireland, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger.
He and Hilaria wed last June after a three-month engagement.
