On Thursday the 55-year-old actor was captured on video confronting a TMZ cameraman outside his Manhattan, New York City residence.

The outlet alleged Alec called the paparazzo a “c**ksucking f*g” under his breath before entering a car with his wife Hilaria Baldwin and their five-month-old daughter.

But Alec took to Twitter soon after the story ran, claiming the website got his words completely wrong.

“If @TMZ asserts that I used an anti-gay epithet, I will sue them,” The 30 Rock star tweeted.

“Acoustic analysis proves the word is fathead. Fathead.”

Alec then goes on to issue a show of support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

The actor asserted that TMZ’s interpretation of his language may even be part of a larger political conspiracy.

“Anti-gay slurs are wrong. They not only offend, but threaten hard fought tolerance of LGBT rights,” he wrote.

“But right wing liars want those words to come out of liberals mouths.

They need them to.

“One unintended consequence of this type of thing is that I get to block so much of that right wing trash that vents here.”

Alec refused to back down from his stance and he delivered some fighting words to the celebrity news outlet.

The thespian also acknowledged his LGBT comrades once again before completing his Twitter statement.

“I know that @TMZ would go to any lengths to bury me. But, try again,” he said.

“I'm grateful to all of the ppl I meet + hear from who recognize that I would never say something to offend my friends in the gay community. (sic)”

The confrontation occurred just hours after French-Canadian actress Genevieve Sabourin was convicted of stalking Alec and Hilaria.

Genevieve, who professed her innocence, was sentenced to spend 180 days in jail.
