50 Cent sentenced over ex-lover

50 Cent was placed on three years of informal probation and ordered to take domestic violence classes after pleading no contest to vandalism

50 Cent has been sentenced to three years probation after pleading no contest to vandalism after an alleged fight with his ex-girlfriend.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was ordered to pay 7,100 US dollars (£4,400) in restitution and take a year of domestic violence classes.

Jackson had previously pleaded not guilty at a Los Angeles court to destroying items in his ex-girlfriend's home during an argument in June.

The woman accused Jackson of breaking down a door and kicking her, but the domestic violence charge was dropped .

The rapper must comply with a restraining order.

Lawyer Scott Leemon said Jackson was pleased the case has been resolved and the domestic violence charge was dropped.
