We're used to seeing the South African Victoria's Secret Angel in her lingerie and swimwear modelling for the brand, but she's taken a break from showing off her body on Instagram.

Swanepoel was one of the star recruits for Spanish brand Desigual's New York Fashion Week show, and rocked bold prints, patterns and cosy knits.

She was joined by legendary supermodel Alek Wek and fellow VS Angel Erin Heatherton.

However, even the supermodel had to start somewhere, and she credits her colleagues with helping her reach the top.

“I remember when I first came into Victoria’s Secret and watching Adriana [Lima] work the runway, the way she really knew where the cameras were,” she told Fashionista when asked for her top beauty tip.

“So it’s really important for me to figure out where cameras are and use them… when you walk down the runway, there are cameras everywhere - so a good tip is to know where the cameras are!”
