Leopard print twists; hat holding buns; glitzy curlers and walnut whips: the greatest hair show on earth took place at Jean Paul Gaultier's Haute Couture autumn/winter 2013 show.
Why have one hair story when you can have an entire series of styles?
Quite, thought Jean Paul Gaultier for his greatest Haute Couture hair show on earth today. As if the clothes didn't say enough, (they boomed), the hair said even more.
There were several masterpieces, from the structural genius in high conical walnut whips (which stood at least a foot above head height) to the tilted buns acting as beautiful, humble hat hooks.
Coronation Street's Hilda Ogden even got the glamour treatment as hair stylists opted for glitzy red rollers.
Then there were the leopard print chignons and twists - a nod to the new hair colouring and paint washing trend we've spotted for the last two seasons, but this time with a little more craze and craft.
So good was the hair circus that we almost missed the make-up - which on closer inspection is one of our favourite make-up looks from the Haute Couture shows so far.
