U2 frontman Bono was the perfect date for his actress daughter, Eve Hewson's Academy Awards debut
Any aspiring actress attending her first Academy Awards party would kill to be on the arm of a famous rock star walking the red carpet. But for 21-year-old Eve Hewson, it just means another day out with Dad.
The This Must Be The Place star made the most out of her time in Hollywood, attending two of the most exclusive bashes of the year, the Elton John AIDS fundraising bash and the Vanity Fair afterparty, rubbing shoulders with the cream of the acting crop. And just because your father is one of the most famous rock stars on the planet, you're still not exempt from an 'embarrassing Dad' moment. Bono called for his daughter to return to the red carpet for more shots together, which was lapped up by the paparazzi.
It was all business for the Hewsons, as Eve's long-term boyfriend, One Tree Hill's James Lafferty opted to stay at home, as did Mrs. Bono, Ali Hewson. At the party, the father/daughter duo were seen chatting with the party’s hosts Elton John and his partner David Furnish and cooing over their two sons, Zachary and Elijah, who have now undoubtedly made all the kids at the creche green with envy.
