It will be a “pleasant” Bank Holiday weekend with sun, light breezes and occasional rain showers.
“Overall it will be a pleasant weekend. There will be some rain showers but not a lot,” said Joanna Donnelly from Met Éireann.
Today will be dull and damp with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures range from 17 to 20 degrees with less humidity and fresher winds.
Saturday will be a mainly dry, sunny day with a few scattered showers. Highest temperatures range from 16 to 18 degrees.
“It will feel pleasant with the sunshine as there’s light northerly winds that will make the day feel fresher and less humid,” said Donnelly.
Sunday also looks to be dry and sunny with some rain. Temperatures will remain on the slightly lower side of normal, though it should feel pleasant in sunshine with just light breezes.
The Bank Holiday Monday will be mainly dry with a mix of sunshine and rain. Rain is more likely in the southwest coasts.
“Later on Monday there will be rain coming in from the south and south west.”
Met Éireann predict temperatures of 19 degrees.
