Thundery downpours break blissful spell of sunshine
THEY say Irish weather is unpredictable - and today certainly proves the point.

Thundery downpours are spreading from the west this evening, bringing longer heavy spells of rain.
Met Eireann has warned that the rain will lead to treacherous driving conditions, as well as spot flooding in places.

The rain will clear overnight, making way for further sunny, warm spells of weather tomorrow morning and early afternoon.
Once again however thunder storms will ruin any plans for a lazy Sunday afternoon barbecue - and they will be even more widespread than today.
Good news for those in eastern regions - they might miss out on tomorrow's rain altogether.
Typical exam weather looks set to begin as we head into June - temperatures are expected to rise above 20C most days this week.
