Stock up on ice... temperatures are set to reach mid-twenties this weekend
It may be mid-July but keep the umbrellas close as Met Éireann predict a weekend of both sunny spells and showers.
While there will be some rain throughout the country, temperatures are set to reach up to 25 degrees on Sunday.
“On Saturday away from the south it will be dry, particularly in the centre of the country. It should be largely dry and bright,” a forecaster told Independent.ie.
There will be rain on Saturday over parts of Munster and Leinster but it will improve throughout the day. Elsewhere in Ireland there will be bright sunny spells and temperatures ranging from 17 to 21 degrees.
If you’re making outdoor plans, Sunday will be your best bet as there will be light breezes with Met Éireann predicting that temperatures will rise to the mid-twenties.
“Overall it will be very pleasant with warm sunny spells and light winds. Temperatures will be between 22 to 23 degrees depending on the sunshine.
“The north of the country might experience some rain but everywhere else it should be a warm dry day with sunshine.”
