More rain for East but Munster and Connacht to be brighter
THE East Coast can expect more rain today coming up from the south, Met Eireann's Gerald Fleming warned.
He said Wicklow and Dublin could expect 10mm of rainfall which "wasn't a huge amount in itself but was a problem on top of the amount which fell yesterday and last night”, he explained.
Mr Fleming said East and West Wicklow were at risk because quickly-running rivers were in danger of overflowing.
While there was a risk of some local heavy, thundery bursts, the rain was expected be followed by mainly dry weather later in the day.
West Munster and much of Connacht will be brighter, with sunny spells and scattered showers, some of the showers heavy in coastal areas.
