As the fog tapers off this morning, we can expect more clouds and some showers throughout the day.
Patches of mist and fog swept across the country this morning, along with some showery rain.
The fog is expected to clear as the day progresses, bringing brighter conditions in the afternoon.
Sunny spells will develop this afternoon, and temperatures may reach highs of 13C.
Some heavy rain will break out, mostly in Munster, and there will be some light or moderate easterly winds.
The rain should taper off by tonight, although patches of mist and fog are expected to form.
Temperatures will drop to as low as 1C to 5C overnight, and a slight grass frost may develop in some northern areas.
