The warm spell will continue today, though the close conditions mean it will feel distinctly muggy and humid.

The mercury will still rise above 20C today, according to Met Éireann, which warned that there is rain on the way as we head towards the weekend.Forecaster John Eagleton warned of heavy winds and rain spreading eastwards towards the end of the week.
