Spells of rain and unsettled weather will continue over the weekend and on Monday.

According to Met Eireann, there will be further spells of rain and drizzle across the country tonight – but will be particularly heavy in the west.

Heavy rain will spread across the country tomorrow but will clear in the east tomorrow afternoon.

Tomorrow night will be mainly dry – but rain will get heavier throughout the night leading to dull and damp Monday morning.

There’s good news come Tuesday with some sunny spells that will continue into Wednesday.

Beyond Wednesday, the outlook is mainly dry but some showers will occur.
