Autumn has well and truly arrived: Weekend weather set to be a mixed bag
Autumn has certainly made itself known in recent weeks and this weekend looks set to be a mixed back of rain and cooler temperatures.
With showers expected to extend southwards across the county during this afternoon and Friday evening.
Top temperatures will range 13 to 15 degrees in moderate to fresh south or southwest winds.
Saturday will dawn damp and breezy but as the day progresses it is expected that it will be a predominantly dry day across the country, according to Met Eireann.
"However, there will be a few showers, particularly in Ulster, where a few may be prolonged during the morning. It looks set to be a fairly cloudy day but there will be some sunny spells," the national forecaster said.
Sunday is expected to be a dry day in many areas but southernmost counties have been warned of a spell of rain.
On both Saturday and Sunday temperatures look set to reach 16 degrees.
