Aston Martin owners toast Bond link 

Meeting against the stunning backdrop of the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, south east London, the Aston Martin Owners Club marked the 50th anniversary of the DB5. The model was famously driven by Sir Sean Connery in Goldfinger, the third Bond movie released in 1964, forever linking Aston Martin to the world's most famous secret agent. Around 20 versions of the DB5 were on display at the meet today, including the classic silver model used in blockbuster Skyfall, the latest Bond instalment.

 

Slimming World's 'Greatest loser' sheds 17 stone 

An electrician who lost half his 33-stone body weight has been named Slimming World's Greatest Loser of 2013. Dean Worrall, 36, decided to slim down after he was made redundant and could not fit into chairs at job interviews and was stared at in the street. When he started his weight-loss regime in August 2010 Mr Worrall, who is 6ft 4in, weighed 33st 6lb. He now tips the scales at 16st 6lb - a staggering loss of 17st in less than three years.
