Richard Bruton in Qatar for Middle East trade mission

Published 08/01/2014 | 11:16

The Minister for Jobs and Enterprise Richard Bruton says trade missions like this week's Government visit to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf pay for themselves "many times over" in the form of new jobs at home. Deals worth €25m have been agreed during the current trip. Speaking to Independent.ie in Doha, Qatar the minister said Enterprise Ireland put together a group of 87 companies targeting specific sectors, ahead of the visit. A relationship with that agency is key for businesses that want to get involved in future initiatives, he said. Credit: Donal O'Donovan
