WATCH: 'It was perfect' - Liam Gallagher joins trad session in Irish pub

Ben Cardilli / McKibbin's Irish Pub

Liam Gallagher walked into McKibbin's Irish Pub in Montreal and barman Ben Cardilli 'tried to play it cool and just pull him a good Guinness' but couldn't help himself when the music legend started to play some tunes.

'Once he was recognized by others he was more than keen to talk and share stories. Then, when the jam started he went right up to listen to the musicians, as soon as they recognized him they coaxed him up. He had a lot of fun I think', Ben told Independent.ie.

'We had a small chat as well and since I'm a singer songwriter they let me play a few of my songs for him. What a feeling'.

'It was quiet and perfect', Ben added.

'It was yesterday afternoon during our regular Sunday afternoon jam sessions with Belfast Andi',  McKibbin's Irish Pub told Independent.ie.

'He just came in and sat down...Not planned at all. When he was recognized, he said he wanted to get out of his hotel room.

'A fantastic day for the pub', McKibbin's Irish Pub added.
