A BOMB threat was allegedly scrawled on a lavatory door of a British Airways jet mid flight.

The threat, reading, “The bomb on board will explode at 16.00 GMT unless our demands are met" was reportedly written mid flight from Tokyo to London.

Police confirmed that a BA steward was arrested after the Boeing 777, which was carrying 150 passengers, landed at Heathrow.

Mathew Davis is believed to have been suspended by BA.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Mathew Davis, 22, from Crawley, was charged on Monday February 13 with communicating a bomb threat.

“He will appear at Uxbridge magistrates’ court on Tuesday February 28.”
