Has the smoking ban become law in Poland yet? If not, do restaurants have non-smoking areas? We are going to Krakow at the end of April and I understand that the city is well served with restaurants. Can you recommend some good fish ones and some offering French-style cuisine?
Maurice Walsh

We're planning a week's honeymoon in June. We would like to go somewhere similar to Venice as we have been there and enjoyed it. We'd like a good four-star hotel that's close to bars and restaurants and has temperatures up to 30°C, with nice scenery and interesting walks. We're looking for something reasonable price-wise and within a four-hour flight from Dublin.

My husband and I are travelling to Brisbane, Australia, in November. Our daughter is living there. We have made no arrangements as yet as my husband is dreading the length of the flights. Have you any tips on where to stopover and what to see there? Catriona

Four of us are planning a holiday in Europe in July, hoping to travel to Venice, Sardinia, Milan and Nice. We're flying into Milan on the morning of July 13 and flying home from Nice to Dublin on the evening of July 22. We are considering travelling by train from Milan to Nice. What would you recommend?

I would be interested in doing a fly-drive to either the south of France or mid/south Spain around the end of May for myself and my husband. We're both over 50. Could you suggest a scenic route we could take for up to 10 days? Maree Carr

Q: I am travelling to Moscow soon and will be staying in the Petrovka Loft, which is fairly central. As I am on a tight budget, could you recommend any cheap restaurants or money-saving tips while I'm there?

My sister and I have a South American friend who plans to visit us in Ireland this summer and would like to travel with us to Rome, Paris and Madrid. What is the most economical way to travel? We are all over 60. We can't really afford to fly unless there is a special deal on three stopovers. Deirdre O'Connor, Rush

Also, where is the best area to base ourselves? We hope to visit the houses and areas frequented by the great poets and experience Beatrice Potter country. Loreto Dowling

I am travelling to Croatia at Easter, picking up a Hertz car at Trieste. However, they won't allow me to drive into Montenegro, though say to check locally when I arrive.
