Irve pulls in for LA pitstop after Cassidy party

Sunday November 15 2009

Eddie Irvine has been very quiet of late (the lovely ladies of Lillies and Krystle must be inconsolable), but he hasn't gone away, you know. The former Formula 1 driver and Norn Ireland Eros turned up at a party in Los Angeles two weeks ago. It was the weekly Saturday night party at Irish classical music composer's Patrick Cassidy's grand house on Lexington Avenue in West Hollywood. They went hiking in nearby Runyon Canyon the morning after the party. Eddie ended up staying for the week (he cooks breakfast and does his share of work around the house, says, intriguingly, my Deep Throat.)

Thursday September 17 2009

Eddie Irvine has hit back at what he deems the sanctimonious posturing of former drivers and figures in Formula One by claiming that cheating has always gone on in Formula One and that the current furore over Renault’s alleged ‘race-fixing’ is simply the governing body "going on a crusade".

Barfly: Noo Bar

Friday August 14 2009

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, Noo was Cocoon, the bling-alicious boozer owned by Formula One playboy Eddie Irvine (you do remember Formula One, don't you?).

The stars of the halcyon clubbing days: Adam Clayton and Naomi Campbell

The last days of disco?

Monday June 15 2009

Blame Colin Farrell. He’s the man who ruined Irish clubbing. The night the Hollywood star walked up the stairs to the VIP room in Renards and asked for a diet coke, the writing was on the wall for the entire nightclub industry.

The last playboys of the western world

"The notion of the single man began in the 50s. The idea of the bachelor as a separate life was new and obscure." Playboy founder Hugh Hefner (83) in thoughtful mode. Another, er, pensive quote from The Hef: "When I'm asked if blondes have more fun, I say, 'They do with me'."

Bachelor boys: 'I would hate to be 70 and have nobody give a s*** about me'

Saturday May 23 2009

The lifestyle of the modern bachelor inspires envy. Footloose fun and frolics in a world lined with fast cars, penthouse pads and beautiful, disposable women; they're living the dream, right?
