US woman under fire for tying baby to wedding dress and dragging her up the aisle
A Tennessee woman is at the centre of controversy after she decided to tie her one-month-old daughter to the back of her wedding dress and drag her up the aisle.
Shona Carter-Brooks wed Johnathan Brooks last month and she proudly posted photos from the big day on her Facebook page.
And rather than having a member of the bridal party carry her newborn daughter up the aisle, she instead decided to have her Vera Wang dress altered to accommodate her child.
After receiving criticism on several websites for her actions, she took to her Facebook page to defend hers decision and said she is not a celebrity and the baby was safe and secure.
"People questioning what we do, commenting all negative, and just doing the most," she began.
"We good though we covered by the Blood which never loose its power.
"So to the media, radio, news, and whomever else wanting to talk about what WE do here you go: The answer is we do what we want, when we want, as long as Jesus on our side everything worked out fine and gona (sic) continue to be fine."
"Our 1 month old was awake and well secured on my train,' Carter-Brooks wrote.
'Most important while yall got ya feelings in us we had our hearts in Christ which covers all!"
