Julie-Ann Hanley and Lee Hulsman met back in 2006 at a local watering hole in Cork on St Stephen's evening, when a friend played matchmaker. After seven years of dating, Lee picked a romantic spot at the stunning Castlemartyr resort to pop the question and the couple decided to create even more memories at the same location by holding their reception there.

The two Corkonians opted for a traditional ceremony at St Mary's Church in Ladysbridge, which was officiated by one of Lee's favourite teachers, Father Paddy Hennessy. "Paddy taught Lee along with his friends in school and has officiated at many of our friends' weddings. He made our ceremony so personal and ensured plenty of giggles!"

The couple added other special touches, sprinkled throughout their wedding day. The groomsmen's dark blue, velvet bow ties were chosen from Louis Copeland, and Julie-Anne's stunning gown was a Stephanie Allin creation from Myrtle Ivory in Dublin. Julie-Anne and Lee designed and printed their invitations, emblazoned with script that read "Love, laughter and happiness", which was their goal for their big day.

Lee and his father handmade signs to place around the wedding venue, and the couple placed candles and lanterns around the reception area to create added ambience into the wee hours.

And after the wedding, a jaunt to Santorini was the perfect restorative honeymoon for the couple.
