Wedding plans are in full flow ahead of Grainne Seoige's wedding and little sister Sile said the family is "over the moon" for the loved-up couple.

Dark-haired gaelgoir Grainne will walk down the aisle with her South African boyfriend of three years, rugby coach Leon Jordaan, in early 2015.

And with the romantic occasion getting closer, 34-year-old Sile told the Diary that everyone is in flying form.

News of Grainne and Leon's engagement was revealed in April, when they held a lavish bash for friends at popular nightclub Lillies Bordello.

"We're very excited about Grainne," Sile said. "I'm delighted for her, obviously we're all over the moon, and they're both doing great, they're very happy."

Aside from giving her sibling a helping hand when it comes to picking centrepieces and table settings, Sile's been conjuring up production plans to pitch to broadcasters.

Operating as a freelance host since her weekend programme on Newstalk was cut last year, the brunette is now looking to develop her own show ideas.

"I do feel like I'm in a good space right now though, and I've realised what I like doing now as well.

"You constantly have to develop your own ideas and then you go back to the drawing board to try out something else."

Even though UTV Ireland has already hired Drogheda anchor Alison Comyn for their week night current affairs slot, Ireland Live at 10, Sile said she'd be open to talking to the incoming TV station about potential productions.

"I'm delighted for Alison joining UTV - and for myself, I wouldn't rule out talking to anybody. I'd do more radio too."

With her TG4 series GIG done and dusted, TV and radio presenter Sile has been making the most of the summer months and got the chance to jet off with pals.

"I've had a lovely summer, it was really good and I got to go away on a few nice weekends here and there," she said.
