Golfer Shane Lowry and his long-term fiancée Wendy Honner have tied the knot in New York city.
Co Offaly native Lowry (29) and his new bride, a nurse who hails from Co Laois, were over in the US for the annual Masters Golf Tournament.
Lowry took to Twitter to share the good news alongside a romantic snap of the two kissing at the city's Central Park, using a string of emojis to express his joy.
The former Bridgestone Invitational winner swapped his sporting wear for a smart suit while his bride wore a white midi dress with a shawl draped over her shoulders.
The loved-up pair have been together for over five years.
It tops off a whirlwind week for the sportsman, who was briefly in contention at Augusta after a strong opening round that saw him in second place.
However, the course got the better of him over the next three days and he ended up tied for 39th.
Lowry said it was not the finish he wanted but he had the consolation of a hole-in-one. "To do that on 16 is something I will never forget," he said on Sunday after Danny Willett emerged as the winner of the tournament.
Lowry was also pictured exchanging high-fives and hugs on the green last week with his fiancée, who acted as his caddy during the traditional Par-3 contest at Augusta.
Lowry later tweeted: "Great fun playing the Par 3 today. Had a decent looking caddy on the bag today too."
He popped the question on a beach in Dubai in December 2014 but the couple insisted they were in no hurry to get hitched.
"I am absolutely delighted," Lowry said at the time. "Wendy is a great girl and we are both looking to our future together.
"It is the icing on the cake at the end of a great year.
"We can't wait to get home and celebrate with our friends and family over the Christmas.
"We've no plans yet, Wendy keeps trying to make plans but I'm trying to keep it off until after Christmas."
The pair met on a night out without any mutual connections.
"I met her on a random night out," Lowry previously said.
"Nobody introduced us or anything and no, it wasn't in Coppers."
He now has time to enjoy married life, with a break from tournament golf until the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow on May 5.
