Rugby star Jamie Heaslip and bride Sheena reign in King's Inns with glamorous wedding reception
Former Ireland rugby captain Jamie Heaslip (32) scored the exclusive King's Inns on Henrietta Street for his wedding celebrations, the Herald can reveal.
The Leinster and Ireland rugby player decided on the historic building for his wedding to Sheena O Buachalla (30), with the happy couple opting to hold their black-tie reception in its imposing dining hall.
His new bride looked picture- perfect in a gown from Irish designer Sharon Hoey.
Her sister Ciara was her bridesmaid, while her husband chose his friend Ryan Cunningham as his best man.
The couple swapped vows at Newman University Church, on St Stephen's Green, in front of nearly 200 family and friends before heading to King's Inns, where barristers are trained.
Guests included Leinster and Irish star Rob Kearney and girlfriend Jess Redden, Cian Healy with girlfriend Laura Smith, Johnny Sexton and wife Laura, Sean Cronin and wife Claire Mulcahy, and Sean O'Brien and Jordi Murphy.
Other guests included former Leinster player Kevin McLaughlin, Devin Toner and wife Mary, his agent Damien O'Donoghue and Jamie's business partner Noel Anderson, with whom he co-owns The Bridge pub in Ballsbridge.
Not to be left out, Jamie's bulldog Jay-Z was also included in the bash, wearing a bow-tie.
The couple's guests then headed to the Dublin 1 venue for a four-course meal.
No expense was spared in making it a day to remember, with Jamie and Sheena even customising Heineken bottles with an image of the happy couple on them.
But they won't be heading off on any far-flung honeymoon this month. They're expected to holiday close to home as Heaslip will start pre-season training soon.
