ROSANNA Davison decided to toast her nuptials with a bash in Ireland and Ibiza and it seems the model is setting a trend for her glamorous pals.
Bride-to-be Lisa Cannon has started planning her own lavish wedding to Welsh fiance Richard Keatley and the TV3 presenter revealed to the Diary that she’s hoping to follow in the former Miss World’s footsteps with two parties.
“I’m checking everything out at the moment so I’m still in the infancy of all the organising, but I’d like to try and do both - a wedding at home and away, if I can,” she revealed to the Diary.
“I’d like something smaller overseas, maybe in France or Italy, with just an intimate group of friends.
“I’m bogged down by choice at the minute and I’m not the most decisive person, so planning is not my forte. But I’m excited to get stuck in over the next while.”
Lisa, who got engaged last October after more than three years with Richard, has yet to pick the ideal location to say I Do’, but has been lapping up plenty of advice from her colleagues at the Ballymount station - including co-host Karen Koster, who got married in Italy.
“I’ve been picking up so many tips, everyone has been great giving out the advice - especially Karen because obviously she walked down the aisle abroad so she knows exactly what is involved when arranging everything. I don’t have any summer holidays planned so I’m going to go looking at venues,” she said.
The Xpose anchor has just jetted back to Dublin after a week’s break on the Greek island of Skiathos, where she celebrated her birthday with her other half.
“It feels like ages ago already, because you’re straight back into work and things are very busy. It was lovely though to get away and relax, even though it rained a bit,” she said.
The loved-up couple rented quad bikes, practiced yoga and visited a dog shelter while at the resort - although Lisa admitted they had the most fun wining and dining at a windmill looking out over the entire island.
“That’s where we had my birthday night and it was fantastic. I’m back in the gym though this week to work off all the delicious food that was on offer,” she said.
“It was great to have a proper feed over there, but I’m happy to get back into a routine.”
The Dubliner, who is on the cover of this month’s Tatler magazine, will fly over to Barcelona next week to interview Cameron Diaz, James Franco and Seth Rogen.
