Pippa Middleton's wedding theme has been revealed and it's not what anyone was expecting
High profile bride-to-be's wedding plans may come as a surprise to many
As the big day nears, Pippa Middleton and James Matthews' wedding plans are coming to light and some are more confusing than others.
It has been revealed that Pippa Middleton and James Matthews will have a Scottish theme at their wedding this Saturday, as reports come from the UK that bagpipes, whisky and haggis canapés will all feature in the wedding celebrations.
Other aspects of the wedding which have been revealed this week include the bride and groom hiring a Spitfire to perform a flypast, a huge glass marquee being erected on the Middleton family's grounds, and some seriously swanky toilets alongside it.
The Scottish theme might come as a bit of a surprise, but the couple do have some personal and business ties to the country.
Pippa attended university in Edinburgh where she graduated with a degree in English Literature, while husband-to-be James' ties to the land are a little firmer.
The hedge fund manager's father David holds the title of Laird of Glen Affric and owns 10,000-acre estate 15 miles from Loch Ness in the Highlands, and as heir to the title James will one day become Laird - and Pippa Lady - of Glen Affric.
Both the bride and groom are reported to spend a lot of time at the Matthews' "castle-like" family home in Glen Affric and are said to have developed a "deep love" of Scotland.
Guests at the wedding will be treated to haggis canapés, a lamb dinner, Scottish whisky and bagpipers.
It has not been confirmed if the groom with wear his family's red and green tartan in kilt form on the day but reports are that it will be incorporated into the groom's outfit.
Plans are ramping up ahead of the big day on Saturday as Britain's Prince Harry's girlfriend Meghan Markle was seen arriving in London's Heathrow Airport before being immediately whisked off to Kensington Palace.
But not everyone is looking forward to the big day.
Big Sister Kate Middleton is said to be nervous about her little ones behaviour, having said she's "a bit worried" about how Prince George and Princess Charlotte will act in their roles as page boy and flower girl on the day.
It is thought that Kate will not act as a bridesmaid on the day, but James' brother Spencer - who, as a reality TV star on the popular Made in Chelsea has hit the headlines himself for his love life in recent months - will be the groom's best man.
