Laura, from Laois, and Ray, from Dublin, met at a work event over seven years ago and after Ray took Laura to dinner for their first date, the rest was history.

Ray and Laura still work together in the same office to this day and Laura says, "Being the subject of office gossip for a while had its ups and downs! It was embarrassing at the time but funny to look back on now."

Ray popped the question while the pair holidayed in Bali, getting down on one knee on a sandy beach towards the end of their trip.

The couple had a Catholic wedding in St Fintan's, Raheen, Laura's local church.

"We wanted to keep the wedding very classical and elegant. We had a slight nod to Ray's love of golf running through the day with the table plan based on Irish golf courses," says Laura.

Living quite close to Durrow, Laura says she and Ray only had one venue in mind for their reception, the stunning Castle Durrow. There, they had a four-course meal followed by their croquembouche wedding cake which was made by French Wedding Cakes, in Kildare. Laura found her dream dress at The Courtyard Privé in Kinsealy, Dublin, while the bridesmaids wore 'No 1 Jenny Packham' dresses from Debenhams.

After the big day, the happy couple jetted off to the Maldives, Sri Lanka and Dubai for two weeks of a blissful honeymoon.
