Louise McSharry has revealed her wedding date.
The RTE 2fm broadcaster (31) recently shared that she has been given the all clear after battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma for the last six months.
And in addition to returning to the airwaves later this month, she will be walking up the aisle as planned with her fiance Gordon Spieriin.
McSharry told Tubridy on 2FM this morning that she will wed her long-partner on August 21.
"All the wedding plans are going ahead, we’re getting married in August," she said on the show.
"We visited the venue over the weekend with Gordon’s parents
"I just feel really excited, I feel like I can pretty much bank on being well in August and being able to to enjoy it properly
"It'll be a nice way for me to thank everyone who has been so supportive of me for the last six months."
When asked about how her relationship has been affected due to her illness, Louise said she and her other half have "always been brilliant".
"With Gordon, I feel like I don’t have a good perspective on it," she explained.
"We were just always brilliant and we still are."
In a candid interview, Louise said that she and Gordon decided early on the importance of complete honesty regarding their emotional wellbeing during her treatment.
"Gordon and I made an agreement early on, if we were upset or emotional, we would be honest about it.
"This came up again recently and said [I'm] pretty sure we kept to that and he said, ‘No’
"He said there were a good few days where he felt really down and didn’t talk about it.
"He might feel that our relationship has changed in a big way, I fee l we’re just as good as we ever were in that respect."
She will return to the airwaves on April 19.
