Katie Couric weds financier John Molner at her Hamptons home
Iconic TV anchor Katie Couric wed partner John Molner in the backyard of her Hamptons home.
The chat show host celebrated the nuptials with an intimate bash including family and friends, while her two daughter and Molner's daughter and son also featured in the wedding.
It is Couric's second marriage.
Her first husband, Jay Monahan, died in 1998 after losing his battle with colon cancer.
She and Molner, a financier based in New York, became engaged in 2013 and she praised her other's sense of humour as his biggest attraction.
"The quality I look for in a person is integrity and someone who's honorable and loyal and just has really terrific core values and I think he is all those things," she told Barbara Walters.
"And you know what? He is really funny. He makes me laugh all the time."
"It's actually surprising to me that it has been almost 15 years and I haven't remarried," she added.
"I think life is more fun when you have someone in your life."
The pair also broke with tradition as she revealed she showed her dress to him before the big day.
"I hope this isn't bad luck but I actually tried it on for him - we're a very modern couple."
