Former Blue Peter presenter and Miss Northern Ireland Zoe Salmon has married in an intimate ceremony in Barbados.
The Bangor-born beauty tied the knot with Newtownards butcher William Corrie in their favourite Caribbean resort.
The 36-year-old told Hello! magazine about her nuptials at the Sandy Lane beach resort, where the couple got engaged six months ago.
Zoe met her new husband at a friend's wedding at Castle Leslie in April 2011.
On William's birthday last November he asked Zoe to be his wife while they were on a romantic holiday.
The resort boasts A-listers like Rihanna and Oprah Winfrey as fans, and it is where golfer Tiger Woods got married to Elin Nordegren in 2004.
Zoe wore a beaded gown with a long train from wedding designer Berta.
William said: "When I saw Zoe arrive I thought: 'Wow!'"
The blushing bride added: "What was so lovely was that every single conversation we had that day was with each other.
"It was really intimate and we had so much space to breathe and take in every special moment."
Following her engagement in November Zoe said that the couple intended to get married at home in Northern Ireland because she was "such a home bird" and William was "a local boy".
At the time Zoe insisted the wedding "has to be at home".
"It is important for us to get married at home," she added.
But the couple had a change of heart, and they went to the Caribbean island for the ceremony without even telling Zoe's parents, Joe and Priscilla.
They are now looking forward to flying home to celebrate in style with friends and family.
Zoe added: "I can't wait to get home and tell everyone. I didn't even tell my mum and dad, although running off to get married does run in the family, so they will be thrilled for us.
"We'll have a big party when we get home, I'm sure of that.
"I want an excuse to wear my dress and feel the magic again."
Zoe was crowned Miss Northern Ireland in 1999.
She went on to present the popular BBC children's programme from 2004-2008.
In recent years she has appeared in shows such as Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Masterchef.
