Footballer Frank Lampard and his fiancee Christine Bleakley are eyeing up an Irish wedding, the Herald has learned.

The couple admit they have now finalised their plans with two Co Donegal hotels among the options being looked at.

The luxury Solis Lough Eske Castle in the Bluestack Mountains was recently given the World Luxury Hotel Award and has been awarded the World's Best Luxury Country Hotel title for the past five years.

The couple however are also looking at the Sandhouse Hotel in Rosslowagh as another option.

"She had a fabulous time here so I wouldn't be surprised if she and Frank do decide to tie the knot in Donegal," he said.
