Former Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley wed his long-term love - one year after alcohol abuse caused him chronic liver failure.
The rocker, who was married to singer Avril Lavigne from 2006 to 2010, married model Ariana Cooper in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Whibley has largely stayed away from the spotlight in recent years, but returned to the headlines once again when he shared a photo of himself in his hospital bed after suffering from organ failure.
He collapsed in his kitchen in April of last year and was rushed to hospital where he was told his body was shutting down due to chronic alcohol abuse.
He is now sober and moving on with his life.
They exchanged vows at the five star Hotel Bel Air with just family and friends in attendance.
"It was a chill and intimate ceremony," a source told PEOPLE. "They had a violin play at the ceremony and the music was mellow, not typical rock that Deryck's band plays, which was surprising."
