Stylewatch: Power Dressing

Whatever you feel about Lucinda Creighton's new party, Renua, Creighton certainly has the fashion chops to lead this country.

It's probably completely anti-feminist of us to even notice what the latest political contender is wearing, except that it's undeniable - clothes are a statement, and Creighton's choice of a pale grey Bastyan suit was a sartorial statement of intent if ever there was one.

The very colour sent a message of transparency, an outfit that states, "we've nothing to hide". The waterfall detail in the front suggests a directional sensibility and a move towards innovation, while the trim of exposed zip teeth says "don't fuck with me". Whatever the policies are, the dress code is clearly power dressing.
