Stylewatch: Alison Canavan's mob
We used to think a Mob (Mom Bob), as seen on top model and parenting guru Alison Canavan, was a sign of a woman giving up after having a child.
We all know the cliche. A woman has a child. Shortly after, she cuts her hair to usually just above her shoulders, apparently 'giving in' in some way by doing so. What rubbish! Actually, a mother getting a shorter haircut is a woman saying, 'I'm not going to spend my life throwing barely blow-dried hair back in a ponytail/bun. I want something more stylish for myself. Hence, the Mob.
Getting the hair cropped can force you to adopt a much sharper look when it comes to dressing. Thirty-seven-year-old Alison has never looked better. Her top is All Saints, her Freddy Jeans and her boots are both by Cari's Closet and the blazer is bespoke.
Alison actually cut her hair off for charity the Rapunzel Foundation. The cut was done by her BF, one of Ireland's top hairdressers, Kazumi's Jenni Crawford.
