WHAT'S THE FORM?

IN the summer of 2010, the Spurs striker went on a stag weekend to Madrid and, according to some reports, met 19-year-old Algerian-born prostitute Monica Mint in a bar. He left the bar with her after a friend allegedly established that she was a prostitute. Later, she said there was activity in a taxi and at a cheap hotel. A month later, the story of their assignation made the English papers and, for a short period that followed, paparazzi cameras attempted to ascertain if Crouch's model fiancee, Abbey Clancy, was wearing her £200,000 engagement ring. She wasn't when she went horse riding with close friend, Toni Terry, wife of John, but it was back on soon after. And soon after that, Clancy was pregnant, giving birth to daughter Sophia earlier this year. Recently, the couple were photographed holidaying with their child Sophia in Sardinia, snuggling and smooching during her naps.
THE Manchester United striker met Coleen McLoughlin when they were both at secondary school. When he was already a football star, she was photographed in her school uniform and they were always, apparently, on course for marriage. In 2004, when both were still teenagers, allegations appeared that two years earlier, Rooney had slept with a prostitute in her 40s known as "Auld Slapper", given her relative seniority. Coleen was reported to be gutted, and Wayne admitted he had been stupid, adding that it occurred "before I had settled down with Coleen". The couple went on to marry in 2008. Their son, Kai, was born in November 2009. While she was pregnant, Wayne is reported to have taken part in a threesome with two prostitutes, one of whom was Helen Wood, now involved in a superinjunction relating to an actor. After a tense-looking holiday a deux in Dubai soon after the story broke, Wayne and Coleen have appeared as together as ever since.
IT seemed like the Beckhams all over again when Chelsea's Ashley Cole married Girls Aloud's Cheryl Tweedy in 2006. A working-class girl plucked from obscurity and made good seemed just right for a footballer, understanding as she did the unaccustomed pressures of wealth and public scrutiny. And they seemed to be a love match. Or she certainly believed so, anyway. In 2008, a 22-year-old sold the story of her night with an extremely drunk Cole, his vomiting during sex and his claims that Cheryl allowed him to cheat, so long as he kept it quiet. Then, allegations of two more dalliances emerged. Cheryl forgave him and Fight for This Love, her first solo single, screamed her desire to make the marriage work. In early 2010, there were more stories of infidelity, that included silly stories of semi-naked photos sent by text and other rather adolescent behaviour. Cheryl, then riding high on X Factor, filed for divorce and it was granted last summer.
IN January 2010, Chelsea and England captain John Terry was alleged to have cheated on his wife and childhood sweetheart, Toni, with French-born underwear model, Vanessa Perroncel -- allegations she has always steadfastly denied. Terry's alleged behaviour may have been bad enough, you might have thought, but what became regarded as worse, however, was the fact that Perroncel's ex and father of her child, was Wayne Bridge, Terry's one-time teammate at Chelsea. And it was apparently for this alleged betrayal that he was stripped of the England captaincy. Terry had tried to enforce what we now know as a superinjunction on the grounds that exposure of the allegation breached his right to a "private and family life", but was unsuccessful. Soon after, glamour model Alicia Douvall claimed to have had sex with Terry in a taxi. Toni left the UK for Dubai with their three-year-old twins and Terry followed later, where the couple were photographed kissing in the sea, in the pool and by the pool. As they were again last week.
