As someone who had an 'old' mum who disapproved of all my social activities and friends, I would have loved to have found myself in your situation. Enjoy your mum's company while she's still around and go on the cruise -- she may even make new friends nearer to her own age.
If you suddenly cut your mum off from your friends and social life, you'll end up hurting her and leaving her feeling even lonelier. Try subtly mentioning new sports clubs you've seen starting up in her area, and encouraging her to take up new hobbies. If she doesn't take the hint, then you're simply going to have to explain, gently, that you'd like to have a bit more of a mother-daughter relationship and that you need a little more space and privacy.
