The former pro wrestler is reportedly 'irked' by his recently announced engagement to human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin after believing she would be the one to tame him during their two year relationship.
According to sources, Keibler said she was shocked at his decision to walk up the aisle.
"When George and Stacy got together, he told her she would be the one he'd marry—and that they could have kids," an insider told Us Weekly.
They split last summer and Stacy is now pregnant with husband Jared Pobre's child.
Clooney's father Nick, a broadcaster, confirmed the family's excitement at his son's decision to marry at 53, after famously claiming he would never wed again following his 1993 divorce from Talia Balsam after four years of marriage.
"We have had an opportunity to interact with this wonderful young woman and these are two great people," Mr Clooney said in a statement.
"We are thrilled at their decision."
Meanwhile, it's been revealed the pair are keen to have children soon.
“George didn’t get a formal permission [to propose] from her dad, but it was an indirect hint,” a source told RadarOnline.
“He definitely tossed the subject of marriage around with them so that he knew they would approve, but he really wanted the proposal to be a total surprise, and didn’t want to give away any hints about when it was going to take place.
"[Amal] definitely want kids asap. Her father is getting older, and he really wants to see her kids [before he dies]... Out of all his kids, he’s especially proud of Amal. It would mean the world to him to see her become a mom.”
