A survey of first-daters has revealed that nearly everyone has a horror story to tell.

Some are more amusing than others though. From one date turning up with their mother to another using a fork as a comb, these terrible dating stories might makes you feel a little better about your love life (or lack thereof).

“He came to the first date with a picture of me set as his phone wallpaper.”

Why worry about being keen when you can download one of their selfies and put it as your background? Sweet, no?

“She brought a tax calendar to control my income.”

Splitting the bill is old news, how about planning a split income?

“He came with his mom and sister.”

The phrase “the more the merrier” does not apply here.

“He took his shoes and socks off and put his feet on the table in the restaurant.”

This takes “make yourself at home” to the next level.

“He proposed.”

Love at first sight at it’s worst.

“He arrived in inline (roller) skates and went barefoot afterwards.”

She didn’t think that’s what he meant when he said he was coming in his new set of wheels.

“He confessed to me that this hobby was to guess the weight of women.”

Her hobby became running. Running very quickly away from him.

“He was combing his hair with a fork.”

It was cool when Ariel did it, but when you use a “dinglehopper” to brush your hair in real life, it’s just plain weird.

The horror stories were revealed through an international survey by Elite Singles of over 45,000 people on their worst first dates.

Makes you feel a bit better about being single, eh?
