A guy for every taste
The pretty guy
As proved by David Gandy you can't go wrong with a pretty face and a hot body. We don't love Beckham for his insightful conversation or Brad Pitt for his politics.
Love enters through the eyes and some men are just hot. Such a shame we only get to look and not touch.
The powerful guy
Every woman has a secret crush on Simon Cowell (below). It's not the brillo-pad hair, the blindingly white teeth or the high-waisted trousers. It's the business acumen, the ability to make or break careers and the millions in the bank -- power is the ultimate aphrodisiac.
The troubled guy
Women love a man who poses a challenge -- why else would we be so captivated by troubled, brooding types?
In literature we loved Bronte's Heathcliff now we have the intensity of Christian Bale and the smouldering Robert Pattinson.
The geeky guy
The odd goatee beard, the nerdy glasses and the turning up unannounced at schools only make Johnny Depp more wonderful.
What's more, today's nerds are hugely successful -- think Justin Timberlake in The Social Network.
The funny guy
It's a cliché but women genuinely are seeking a man with a GSOH (good sense of humour). Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding (below) is sexy, even though he shouldn't be.
James Corden, the roly-poly star of Gavin And Stacey, says: "My weight was never a concern for me. I could always talk to women and make them laugh, so they tended to overlook my physical imperfections."
The handy guy
There's something very attractive about a man who can look after himself -- and you.
A man who can change a tyre, a plug socket, put up a shelf -- all while cooking a casserole -- is a dream find. We could do without the eating bugs but there's something sexy about Bear Grylls.
