Long live Posh and Becks.
So far, 2016 has marked the end of Brangelina, Mary J. Blige and Kendu Isaacs, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris (and Tom Hiddleston) and Taylor Kinney and Lady Gaga, to name a few.
With news of a celebrity breakup emerging every week, and as a reminder that true love does exist, here are seven celebrity couples that have withstood the test of time:
Victoria and David Beckham
Victoria and David met at a charity football match in 1997 and became engaged one year later. They married in Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin in 1998 and have gone on to have four children, Harper (five), Cruz (11), Romeo (14) and Brooklyn (17). From cornrows to dodgy blonde extensions, we'll always love Posh and Becks.
Elton John and David Furnish

Following the legislation of gay marriage, Elton and David wed at their home in Old Windsor in 2014. Elton shared photos and videos of the ceremony throughout the day to his Instagram account.

Although she didn't get the part, the pair began dating and they celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on New Year's Eve 2015. Will took to social media in August last year to deny rumours that the pair have split, saying: "I promise you all – if I ever decide to divorce by Queen – I SWEAR I’ll tell you myself!” They have two children together, Jaden (18) and Willow (15), both of whom have careers in the entertainment industry.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson
Tom and Rita have one of the longest relationships in Hollywood history, being married for 28 years. They met in the early 1980s when Rita appeared in an episode of Bosom Buddies, which Tom was starring in. He later said about meeting Rita: "Listen, I knew it from the get go. I met Rita Wilson and it was all over. 'Something is really different now,' I said. I knew I had fallen in love and things were profoundly different with me. It happens. You gotta be lucky enough to stumble across it.” The couple have two children together, Chet (26) and Truman (20).
